Reality Shows

Reality shows as we know today is favourite genre of all Television producers. On one hand they generate good revenues for Television Industry and on the other hand they create a very good platform for thousands of Indian youngsters who want to achieve great things in their field of interests.

Be it Dancing, Singing, doing Comedy, modeling or other talent (India’s Got talent of Colors Channel), reality shows do give a hope to the parents of young children that there is more to life than being a Doctor or an Engineer. Today we see a rising trend of Reality Shows in India.

I think there is everything in such Reality Shows except reality. The contestants are asked to perform and do some mistakes which they promise will be corrected and even some cute ones are asked to cry if the judges point out something so that they could roll the camera from the candidate to the judges and vice versa and show that scene as a promotional scene on the channel all day so as to increase their TRP. But when the innocent contestants do so, they are never given any other chance, just asked to leave !
In the dance shows, young girls wear dresses that are not even worth watching from our TV sets whereas their parents can be seen cheering at such a great feat of their child. Those parents only must be making faces when they see Bollywood actors doing the same but their child doesn't remind them of actors because she is in one of the greatest Reality Shows of the country.

Example of some reality shows : BIG BOSS, KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI, DANCE INDIA DANCE etc.
